How online renewal works — 4 steps
1. Download MobilePawn using the buttons above.
2. Enter your phone number — the same number on your pawn ticket — and confirm the one-time code Bravo texts you. No password to remember.
3. Tap your LBC Pawn loan. You'll see your balance, your due date, and exactly what a renewal costs — the same numbers printed on your ticket.
4. Pay with a credit or debit card. Done. Your loan restarts for another full 4 months and your new due date shows right in the app.
That's the whole process. Renewals by card are available only through the app — and once you've renewed, your item stays safely stored with us until you're ready to pick it up (pickup day is cash only; our in-store ATM charges just $2 a transaction).
What borrowing costs here — in plain numbers
Our rate is 3% per month plus a one-time 8% charge in the first month only. In much of the country, pawn shops are allowed to charge 10%, 15%, even 25% per month — Massachusetts borrowers at LBC pay a fraction of that. This is one of the cheapest ways to borrow money in America, and we print the entire cost on your ticket before you sign:
| If you borrow | After month 1 | After month 2 | After month 3 | After month 4 | Renew 4 more months |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $100 | $111 | $114 | $117 | $120 | just $20 |
| $500 | $555 | $570 | $585 | $600 | just $100 |
| $1,000 | $1,110 | $1,140 | $1,170 | $1,200 | just $200 |
Month 1 includes the one-time 8% charge; after that it is a flat 3% per month. Renewing means paying the interest and charges due — your loan restarts for another full 4 months. No hidden fees — the full cost is printed on your ticket before you sign.
*Pawn loans: 3% per month interest plus a one-time 8% charge in the first month only. Example: a $100 loan costs $111 after month 1, $114 after month 2, $117 after month 3 and $120 after month 4. Loans run up to 4 months and may be renewed by paying the interest due. Borrowers must be 18 or older with valid photo ID. Items not redeemed by the end of the loan term may be sold as allowed by Massachusetts law.
Why customers renew instead of letting a loan go
- Your item stays yours. A one-minute renewal beats losing a watch, a ring, or a tool kit you actually need.
- It costs less than starting over. Renewing a $100 loan for 4 more months is $20 — no new paperwork, no new appraisal.
- No credit anything. No credit check to borrow, no reporting if you don't repay. The item is the whole deal.
- Reminders in the app. MobilePawn shows your due date so a loan never slips up on you.
New to LBC? Your first pawn loan is free — borrow up to $500 and pay just $505 total at 4 months. And if you're borrowing against something valuable, read how our collateral loans work — no credit check, no income paperwork, cash in minutes.
Questions we hear
- How do I renew my pawn loan online?
- Download the free MobilePawn app (by Bravo Store Systems) from the App Store or Google Play, enter the phone number on your pawn ticket, and confirm the one-time text code. Your LBC Pawn loan appears in the app — tap your loan, choose renew/extend, and pay with a credit or debit card. Your loan restarts for another full 4 months.
- How much does it cost to renew?
- You pay only the interest and charges due. On a $100 loan that is $20 for another full 4 months ($111 after month 1, $114 after month 2, $117 after month 3, $120 after month 4). On $500 it is $100; on $1,000 it is $200. That is 3% per month plus a one-time 8% charge in the first month only — among the lowest pawn loan rates in the country.
- Can I renew with a card in the store?
- No — renewals by credit or debit card happen only through the MobilePawn app. In the store, renewals are cash. Picking up (redeeming) your item is always cash only. Need cash for your pickup? Our in-store ATM charges just $2 per transaction.
- What if my phone number changed since I took the loan?
- The app signs you in with the phone number on your pawn ticket. If that number changed, call or text us at 857-867-6468 or come in and we will get you reconnected.
- Can I pay a layaway in the app too?
- Yes. MobilePawn shows your layaways as well as your pawn loans, and you can make layaway payments from your phone the same way.
- What happens if I do nothing and my loan expires?
- If a loan reaches the end of its term unpaid, the item may be sold as allowed by Massachusetts law — and that is the end of it. No debt collectors, no balance owed, and nothing on your credit. Renewing in the app takes about a minute and keeps your item yours.
