The electronics we buy
- Bose headphones — QuietComfort, Noise Cancelling, earbuds
- Bose speakers — SoundLink, Home Speaker, soundbars
- PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo consoles
- Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2
- Controllers — Xbox, DualSense, Pro Controllers, Elite
- MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, including the newest models
- Retro games — NES, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Game Boy, Genesis
- Nintendo DS consoles and games
- iPhones and Samsung Galaxy phones
- Cameras and lenses — Sony, Canon, Nikon (our #1 buy category)
- iPads, tablets and smart TVs

Current gear pays the most — the newest consoles, the latest MacBooks and flagship phones lead the offers. But retro games have a real collector market behind them, and clean vintage cartridges surprise people every week. Bring the chargers, docks and cables: complete kits pay more than loose pieces.
How to get the most for your electronics
- Bring the charger, dock and cables — complete kits pay more
- Factory-reset phones and laptops, and sign out of iCloud or Google
- Original boxes and cases help, especially on Bose and Apple
- Consoles: bring at least one controller and the power supply
- Games: boxed and complete-in-box copies pay more than loose carts
- Dead batteries and cracked screens lower the offer — working gear pays best
Everything is tested at the counter before an offer is made — powered on, functions checked, accounts confirmed signed out. You watch the whole thing, and the offer is explained item by item. No black box, no mail-in grading games.
Authenticated in store — no receipt needed
Every electronic item is tested in store with professional testing equipment, backed by a counter team that handles this gear every day — power, ports, batteries, drives, screens and accounts are all checked in front of you before money changes hands. No receipt? No problem. A receipt is not required to sell or pawn with us. If you do have the box, charger, cables or paperwork, bring them — a complete kit supports a stronger offer.
The more you bring in, the more you get. A console plus its games, the Bose speaker you upgraded from, the MacBook sitting in a drawer — priced together as one lot, a bundle earns more than the same pieces sold one at a time. Clearing out before a move or an upgrade? Bring all of it.
Conditions we buy
- Current models, complete and working — pays the most
- Last-generation gear in clean, working condition
- Loose items without boxes or cables
- Retro games and consoles, working or not — ask us
- Gear with an issue — tell us what it is and we will price it as-is
Bring a valid photo ID. Sellers and borrowers are 18+ with ID; serial numbers are checked and every buy is recorded and reported exactly as Massachusetts law requires.
How it works
1. Text photos first. Photos of your electronics, front and back, plus any details, to 857-867-6468 — get a realistic range before you travel.
2. Bring it in. 1107 Commonwealth Ave, Boston — Mon–Fri 11–6:30, Sat 11–4:30. Bring a valid photo ID (18+). We authenticate and price the item at the counter, in front of you.
3. Get paid the same visit. Cash on the spot — or a pawn loan at 3% per month* if you would rather borrow against it and keep it yours.
Sell it, or borrow against it and keep it?
Good electronics are solid collateral. Sell your gear and the cash is yours on the spot — or take a pawn loan at 3% per month* for up to 4 months, renewable, and your item is stored securely until you redeem it. Plenty of clients pawn a console or a laptop for a short stretch and take it home again; the loan keeps your options — and your gear — intact.
Private VIP room: for loans and purchases over $2,000, ask about our private VIP room when you book — high-value pieces are handled there, not across a busy counter.
Why bring your electronics here?
Mail-in buyers quote one number online, then grade your piece down in a warehouse you have never seen — and hold your item hostage while you argue.
Marketplaces and consignment mean weeks of messages, flakes, fees and scam risk on a piece worth serious money.
At LBC Pawn your electronics is authenticated and priced at the counter in front of you, the offer is the offer, and you leave with cash the same visit — or a loan ticket and your ownership intact.
Skip the drive-first guesswork. Text photos of the item to 857-867-6468 and get a ballpark before you come. Prefer to talk? Call the same number during shop hours.

What a loan costs — in plain numbers
| If you borrow | After month 1 | After month 2 | After month 3 | After month 4 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $100 | $111 | $114 | $117 | $120 |
That first month includes the one-time 8% charge; after that it is a flat 3% per month. No hidden fees, no surprises — the full cost is printed on your ticket.
*Pawn loans: 3% per month interest plus a one-time 8% charge in the first month only. Example: a $100 loan costs $111 after month 1, $114 after month 2, $117 after month 3 and $120 after month 4. Loans run up to 4 months and may be renewed by paying the interest due. Borrowers must be 18 or older with valid photo ID. Items not redeemed by the end of the loan term may be sold as allowed by Massachusetts law.
More we buy
Every piece is authenticated and priced item by item, in front of you — and the more you bring in, the more you get.
Questions we hear
- Do I need a receipt to sell my electronics?
- No. Everything is tested in store with professional testing equipment, so a receipt is not required. Boxes, chargers and cables do help the offer if you have them — bring whatever you kept.
- Do I have to factory-reset my phone or laptop first?
- Please sign out of iCloud or your Google account before you come in — a signed-in device cannot be resold and it slows everything down. We test the device with you at the counter either way.
- Can I pawn my electronics instead of selling?
- Yes — borrow against your gear at 3% per month* (plus the one-time 8% first-month charge) for up to 4 months, renewable, and your item is stored securely until you redeem it.
- Do you buy retro video games, or only new stuff?
- Both. NES, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Game Boy, Sega Genesis and Nintendo DS games and consoles are bought every week — loose carts and boxed copies alike — and every game is tested before we price it.
