Cameras are the number one thing we buy at LBC Pawn Cash 4 Gold 3% Loans* — ahead of everything else on this site. Sony, Canon and Nikon mirrorless and DSLR bodies, the lenses that go with them, and complete professional kits, bought for cash the same visit. Upgrading bodies? Getting out of a system? Inheriting a kit you will never shoot? Bring it in: the pitch is simple — we pay higher than anybody else for camera gear, and we pay in cash, at the counter, in front of you. No shipping a $3,000 body to a warehouse and waiting on an "inspection."
Text photos of the body and each lens — plus the model names — to 857-867-6468 for a fast quote before you travel.

The glass is the money. Fast lenses hold their value for years — a clean f/1.4 prime or f/2.8 zoom is often worth more than the body it was mounted on. We check optics, autofocus and mounts at the counter and price every piece in front of you.
Before you come in
Bring a valid photo ID. Every seller is 18+ with ID, and every buy is recorded and reported exactly as Massachusetts law requires — serial numbers are checked at the counter. We are a licensed Boston shop; keeping things legal is what keeps our prices high and our doors open.
Chargers, batteries, boxes and caps help — a complete kit earns more than a bare body — but they are not required. We price what is in front of us.
How it works
1. Text photos first. Photos of the front and back of the body, the lens glass, and the model names to 857-867-6468 — get a realistic range before you travel.
2. Bring it in. 1107 Commonwealth Ave, Boston — Mon–Fri 11–6:30, Sat 11–4:30. Bring a valid photo ID (18+). We check and price the item at the counter, in front of you.
3. Get paid the same visit. Cash on the spot for your camera gear — or a pawn loan at 3% per month* if you'd rather borrow against it and keep ownership.
Why sell your camera here instead of mailing it in?
Mail-in gear buyers have you ship your kit across the country, then grade it down after "inspection" — and getting it back is slow and expensive.
Online marketplaces mean weeks of messages, no-shows, returns and scam risk on high-value gear.
At LBC Pawn your gear is checked and priced in front of you, the offer is the offer, and you walk out with cash the same visit.
Skip the drive-first guesswork. Text photos of the item to 857-867-6468 and get a ballpark before you come. Prefer to talk? Call the same number during shop hours.

What a loan costs — in plain numbers
| If you borrow | After month 1 | After month 2 | After month 3 | After month 4 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $100 | $111 | $114 | $117 | $120 |
That first month includes the one-time 8% charge; after that it is a flat 3% per month. No hidden fees, no surprises — the full cost is printed on your ticket.
*Pawn loans: 3% per month interest plus a one-time 8% charge in the first month only. Example: a $100 loan costs $111 after month 1, $114 after month 2, $117 after month 3 and $120 after month 4. Loans run up to 4 months and may be renewed by paying the interest due. Borrowers must be 18 or older with valid photo ID. Items not redeemed by the end of the loan term may be sold as allowed by Massachusetts law.

Questions we hear
- What cameras do you pay the most for?
- Professional mirrorless bodies and fast prime and zoom lenses pay the most — Sony Alpha, Canon EOS R and Nikon Z gear leads the market right now. A full-frame body paired with its f/2.8 zooms or f/1.2–f/1.4 primes is the strongest combination we see. Low shutter counts and clean sensors earn the top offers.
- Do you buy lenses without a camera body?
- Yes — lenses are bought on their own every day. In many cases the glass is worth more than the body it came off. Bring the lens, its caps and hood if you have them, and we will check the optics and price it at the counter.
- Do you buy older DSLR and film cameras?
- Yes. Canon and Nikon DSLRs still move, and quality film cameras — Leica, Hasselblad, Contax, classic Nikon and Canon rangefinders — are bought as collectibles as well as shooters. Text us the model and a photo and we will tell you straight whether it is worth the trip.
- Can I pawn my camera instead of selling it?
- Yes. Borrow against your camera gear at 3% per month* (plus the one-time 8% first-month charge) for up to 4 months, renewable — your gear is tagged and stored securely until you redeem it. Working photographers pawn kits between jobs here all the time.
