LBC Pawn Cash 4 Gold 3% Loans* buys cell phones in Boston — every major brand, in almost any condition. Apple iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, Motorola, OnePlus: if it powers on, we want to price it, and even phones that don't power on can be worth money for parts. The pitch is simple: we pay higher than anybody else for phones — and we pay in cash, in the store, the same visit. No shipping your phone to a warehouse, no waiting days for a quote to shrink after "inspection." The offer is made at the counter, in front of you.
Text photos of the phone — front, back, and the Settings > About screen — to 857-867-6468 for a fast quote before you travel.

Phones we buy — in almost any condition
- Brand new and sealed
- Used, in great shape
- Cracked screen or cracked back glass
- Broken, worn battery, or won't power on — parts value
- Factory unlocked
- Carrier-locked — Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Xfinity Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile
- Financed phones — still owe the carrier? We buy them anyway
- Phones for parts — screens, cameras, boards and housings have value
Financed is fine here. Owe money on your phone? Most buyback programs turn you away. We don't — bring the phone and your ID and we'll make an offer on the spot.
Two rules — read these before you come in
1. No iCloud-locked or activation-locked phones. A phone that is still signed into someone's iCloud account, with Find My turned on, cannot be set up by anyone else — so we can't buy it, at any price. Fix it in two minutes before you visit: open Settings, tap your name at the very top, scroll down and tap Sign Out. That turns Find My off and frees the phone. Android phones work the same way — sign out of the Google and Samsung accounts so factory reset protection is off.
2. No stolen or blacklisted phones. We check every phone's IMEI at the counter, and every seller shows photo ID. Every buy is recorded and reported exactly as Massachusetts law requires — we're a licensed Boston shop, and keeping things legal is what keeps our prices high and our doors open. If a phone comes back flagged, we can't buy it.
How it works
1. Text photos first. Front, back, and the About screen of your phone to 857-867-6468 — get a realistic range before you travel.
2. Bring it in. 1107 Commonwealth Ave, Boston — Mon–Fri 11–6:30, Sat 11–4:30. Bring a photo ID. We check the phone and its IMEI at the counter, in front of you.
3. Get paid the same visit. Cash on the spot — or a pawn loan at 3% per month* if you'd rather borrow against it and keep ownership.
Why sell your phone here instead of mailing it in?
Mail-in buyback sites have you box up your phone, ship it across the country, and wait days — then the "inspection" finds reasons to pay less than the online quote, and getting your phone back is a fight.
Carrier trade-ins pay in bill credits spread over two or three years, and only if you stay on an expensive plan.
At LBC Pawn the phone is checked and priced in front of you, the offer is the offer, and you walk out with cash the same visit. Financed phone? Cracked phone? We price it anyway.
Skip the drive-first guesswork. Text photos of the phone — front, back, and the Settings > About screen — to 857-867-6468 and get a ballpark before you come. Prefer to talk? Call the same number during shop hours.

What a loan costs — in plain numbers
| If you borrow | After month 1 | After month 2 | After month 3 | After month 4 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $100 | $111 | $114 | $117 | $120 |
That first month includes the one-time 8% charge; after that it is a flat 3% per month. No hidden fees, no surprises — the full cost is printed on your ticket.
*Pawn loans: 3% per month interest plus a one-time 8% charge in the first month only. Example: a $100 loan costs $111 after month 1, $114 after month 2, $117 after month 3 and $120 after month 4. Loans run up to 4 months and may be renewed by paying the interest due. Borrowers must be 18 or older with valid photo ID. Items not redeemed by the end of the loan term may be sold as allowed by Massachusetts law.
Sell your phone by brand
One phone, one visit — or bring the whole drawer of old devices. Phones, tablets, watches and gold are priced piece by piece, in front of you.
Questions we hear
- Do you buy phones that are still financed?
- Yes. If you still owe your carrier money on the phone, we will still buy it — that is one of the biggest differences between us and the mail-in trade-in programs, which reject financed phones outright. Bring the phone and your photo ID and we will price it at the counter.
- Can I sell a phone with a cracked screen?
- Yes. Cracked screens, cracked back glass, worn batteries and phones that have lived a hard life all still have value here — if a phone is beyond repair, its parts are worth money too. Text us photos and we will give you a ballpark before you come in.
- Why won't you buy an iCloud-locked phone?
- An activation-locked phone is tied to somebody else's Apple account and cannot be set up by a new owner — Apple designed it that way to make stolen phones worthless. Before you come in, sign the phone out of iCloud: Settings, tap your name at the top, then Sign Out, and make sure Find My is turned off. Once it is signed out, we can buy it.
- Can I pawn my phone instead of selling it?
- Yes. Borrow against your phone at 3% per month* (plus the one-time 8% first-month charge) for up to 4 months, renewable — your phone is tagged and stored securely until you redeem it. You keep ownership and get your phone back when you repay.
